Situation: Husbands employer funded health plan is 700 a month for both my self and our son to have access to health care. Therefore that would be about 9K a year for our son and I not including the additional amount we would have to pay for health insurance out of our pocket till we meet the required agreed upon financial amount to be covered at said rate. We are not military & we live in texas.

Now I know I am not the only going through this situation, right? I truly believe there has to be a better financially savvy/wise way to get both our son and I covered with out having to spend 9K alone up front, am I right?

How are my other SAHM getting their healthcare covered who don't have the option for going through their spouse's employer or the military?

At the moment I am sticking to cash pay for any/all medical expenses for myself and my son.

Any and all insight and/or perspective on how my other fellow mothers are going about this would be much appreciated 😩👏🏽
