I didn’t want to embarrass him
So my husband and I have had the stomach flu this week. I had the worst of it Sunday to Wednesday and him Wednesday to yesterday. It’s been awful. I was in bed Monday and Tuesday. I was throwing up and running to the bathroom. Liquid from all ends. If I messed the toilet I would finish my business and clean up everything. I didn’t want my husband to see that or have to clean it.
For him though I’ve been cleaning up. Whenever I’ve used the bathroom because one he’s not feeling good and two I don’t want to sit on a toilet like that. Nasty. Cleaning it doesn’t bother me because I change my daughter’s dirty diapers and it’s like meh to me.
Today, he had an upset from something he took last night that set him back. I went in the bathroom and it was 🤢 in the toilet. Like, seriously how did he not notice it. I won’t go into detail. Just awful. So I cleaned it because I had to really pee. I came out and told him, I didn’t want to embarrass him. I let him know that I’ve been cleaning it up and now that he’s feeling better I’d appreciate it if he would clean after himself. It’s one thing of someone is sick and not functioning. Another when they’re up moving around completely fine otherwise.
I didn’t want to embarrass him and I hope I didn’t. But how do men not notice this stuff?!
To clarify: I’m talking it was under the seat, all over the back of the bowl and the back rim above the water line. I didn’t want to be gross in detail but that’s the detail. Like I saw it all as soon as I walked in the bathroom and walked towards the toilet. Here’s no way he didn’t see it afterwards when he turned around the flush. 🤢
