in september i decided to get the implant, and before this my cycle had been the most normal thing in my life! i was never late nor early, and knew my body very well. i was warned about abnormal bleeding patterns before i got the implant, but then again i was limited on my resources for education from others who had some experience with it (i got the procedure done while in navy bootcamp)

i bled for 3 straight months! i considering getting it out but then my period stopped and i was relieved for a bit, finally thinking my hormones had regulated. welp, that clarity only lasted a week and now i’m bleeding again. i’m not sure how long this one will be. i know every woman’s body is different but i was hoping maybe someone can give me some insight on what i can expect while on the implant. will i bleed like this the for the duration i have the implant in? is it even worth it? should i take it out, or maybe switch to another form of birth control?
