When do you send thank yous for baby shower gifts?

We are having our baby shower end of February however we have began to receive gifts both from people that will be at the shower and people that won’t. Did you / would you send thank you cards as you receive gifts or send them out altogether after the shower?

TY cards are overwhelming so I say start early if you can! But probably just those not attending... i prefer to add a line about how nice it was to see the guests that were there.
