Is this selfish?

Is it selfish to have a tv on my wedding registry? It’s $359 I had it in there because I know some people chip in together for gifts but I’m worried people are gonna think I’m selfish or something for having such an expensive thing on there. What does everyone think? Also I do have plenty of cheaper stuff on there too $30 and under!

I don’t think so, some people like to give more expensive gifts. A registry is just an idea list of things that you would want, it’s not you saying I better get all of these things or else. If no one wants to buy it then no one will, but having it as an option won’t hurt or look shitty

You can put whatever you want on your registry. It's up to your guests to decide which items they want to buy for you.

I went to a wedding and they had an $800 pots and pans set on their registry. Which I thought was crazy 😂 but  if people don’t want to spend that much then they don’t maybe you’ll get lucky and someone will! Ya never know!

I don’t think so. If people don’t want to gift that, they won’t. I’ve seen wedding registries with far more expensive items that didn’t make sense IMO. Like 400$ bed sets or a 200$ toaster, lol. You can put whatever you’d like on there, if people feel it’s too much then they won’t buy it.

My brother and sister in law had all kinds of expensive items on their registry as well as items that were on the more affordable side. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I don’t see why you couldn’t have it on there. Nobody is required to get it so it doesn’t make a difference if it’s there or not.
