Freezing formula
Good morning!
My 7 month old has been EBF. I’ve been both nursing when with her and pumping at work, etc. I have a pretty good stash (400 ish oz?). I’m ready to slowly start weaning so I’m only pumping once a day on top of nursing her before and after work. I’d like my stash to make it to a year but I think I’ll have to do some combo feeding to stretch it that far. I’ve been mixing an oz of formula in her breast milk about once or twice a day for the past couple weeks. She tolerates it well.
My question: can I freeze the breast milk/formula mixture?
I currently take about 15 frozen breast milk bags (4 oz each) to daycare a week. If it’s possible, I’d like to freeze the mixture then send to daycare.
Thanks!
