Gift registries 👎

Is it just me or does anyone find these baby and gift registries in really poor taste. It is beyond tacky to be asking strangers on the internet to buy you presents. Especially during a recession.

It rubs me the wrong way.

No matter what my situation or income was ( which has in the past been in severe poverty as a 19 year old single mom and a homeless teen ) I wouldn’t be asking strangers for gifts, I’d look into what resources I had at my disposal in my area or ask family/friends before strangers…
