TWW Vent and test sensitivity warning
Aaaargh! So FRUSTRATING. 42 TTC. Today 11 dpo, Will do IUI in May if needed because I will be 43.
no period , cycle day 27 with normal 25 day cycle, mild cramps for 3 days, one tiny blood wipe 3 days ago 9 dpo.
I’m an obsessive tester and bought mommed strip’s because of this, even though the hcg sensitivity is 25. I used up my FRER 12 sensitivity (claims to be 6.8 but not the case) starting at 8 dpo (one had a vvfl which I now assume was evap), Clearblue early advertises its 10 but the “analytical”
hcg is 25 (thats the same sensitivity as regular clearblue) and I trusted that 10 was accurate. FRER says 6.8 sensitivity but its 12 analytically. Ive been reading a lot on this and its so messed up that companies misguide us to what is a possible sensitivity to the reality of the test sensitivity, thus we have to keep buying and tossing negatives when it may be a pregnancy. Ive had 2 early losses (4 weeks in 2020, 5 weeks last month) and have a healthy 2 year old boy.
I’m so sick of this tww after the 5 week loss last cycle. I want a positive now or AF to just show up already to keep me out of limbo, and for test companies to be straightforward!
starting HCG levels (before doubling every two days) vary so much per person (ranging from 0-1 hcg at 9 dpo to ranging from 22- 60 hcg at 13 dpo) per one chart (which are all over the place anyway). I feel negative early tests cant be trusted at all until 13 dpo. I will say I appreciate the early positive tests I have had even though they were an early loss because I like to know what is happening to my body. I feel like schrodingers cat! Blaaaahh!
