Folly bulb success?

I'm due on 12/31, but induced as of yesterday morning at 6am. So far I've had 5 round of cytotec (every 4 hours) and I'm barely progressing and they're talking about a folly bulb. Did anyone have success with this?

On 12/17 at 4:30 I had the foley bulb inserted (I had read that it was very painful. It doesn't feel the greatest but it is not that bad.) Around 6:30 I started having contractions. The contractions started getting intense at 11:30 so I ended up going into l&d. I got to about 6 cm with the foley and at 7 am they used pitocin. I had her at 2:32 p.m. on the 18th.

I think it was very successful.

I came to the hospital this morning to be induced. They used the foley on me. When they put it in around 9am they said I was 1cm, maybe 1.5cm. Just over an hour later it fell out and I was almost 4cm. So for me, very quick and effective. Contractions started almost immediately after being sat back up once when we're done.

I was induced on 12/21 and has the foley bulb catheter. I went in at 8 pm on Sunday night they inserted the catheter at 10 pm. The doctor said I was 1 cm. It didn't really hurt it was more uncomfortable and pressure.  By 2 am the catheter feel out and they told me I was around 3 cm. I had mild contractions all night long but they were sporadic.  At 6 am they gave me the pitocin I was still 3 cm and by noon I was ready to push and my baby girl arrived at 1:11 pm. The nurse said sometimes they will give you a mild dose of pitocin while the catheter is in to help kick start things.  They didn't with me since I was already at 1cm. Good luck with everything. Just try and relax & breathe (I know it's hard) when they are inserting it. It does help it go smoother.
