contractions 34 weeks

i woke up last night due to some really painful contractions that lasted over an hour, i thought forsure i was going into labor but then they ended up stopping, they were in my left side and my back only and went to my right side barely, these were not braxton hicks, i’m 34 weeks today and i have a drs apt in 3 days. Now that it has stopped should i call them and tell them today or just bring it up at my apt on friday? 4th pregnancy and no history of preterm labor
