Would you get it done?

So I'm extremely insecure with my breast size. There's almost nothing there. My doctor put me on birth control and said to try and gain weight and do some chest exercises to help and try to promote breast size. I plan on trying to put weight on and doing everything I can, I have really high metabolism and have a hard time gaining weight. (I'm 5'7 and weigh 122lbs). My husband has asked if we can find a surgeon to do a payment plan for breast implants, if I would want to do that. Would you try the weight gain first and the breast implants last or what would you do? I would have to take off work but we would be fine. I don't want super big breast, just enough so I can feel like a woman again.  I'm a little nervous about getting a surgery but it would be nice having breast again.

I’m 100% against breast implants, wouldn’t get them if they were free. I wouldn’t risk getting cancer for an aesthetic.

I worked in plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine for years and years. 1st off make sure this is something you want and nobody else. The fact your husband asked about finding a surgeon is worrisome a bit.  Make sure this is something you woukd want to do even if you were angle amd he was not in the picture or you separate and he is no longer in the picture. If you  want to find a good surgeon and to be honest unless you get like care credit or something I would be VERY wary of a surgeon that will do a payment plan. Anything cosmetic usually requires upfront payment because it is not needed so considered a luxury. I'd either use like care credit or save until you can pay for it. Find thr beat surgeon not the cheapest or the one who is willing to do whatever to get a client. If they are bending over backwards to get clients ask yourself why and proceed very cautiously. Yes there is recovery and time off work but beyond that all surgery has a risk so make sure you actually want to do it because risk goes hand in hand with surgery and while not common things do go wrong even in amazing surgeons offices. Also know it isn't a 1 time thing usually. Implants do have a life span and will need replaced at some point and there is always a risk of a defect or rupture that will require replacement so make sure you are ok with the long term investment. The amount of patients we saw who had implants removed well after they should have and then needed repairs to the breasts was a lot because they paid once but couldn't afford the maintenence years later so just ignored it. And the younger you are the more time you have with implants. Plastic surgery can be an amazing tool amd I have seen amazing results with people who are so much happier and more self confident. I have also seen people coming into our office to have implants removed because they didn't actually want them, got them for someone else, or were using them as a magic cure to something deeper and regretted them. Ao find a good surgeon to do a consult with, who doesn't push it on you or try to add services. A good surgeon will inform and be a team mate but will not pressure. And if any office tells you you can have this price or this discount if you sign the paperwork today run out of that office because they don't care about you, just their bank account.

I had implants and ended up getting multiple issues with them. Please look into breast implant illnesses. There is a Facebook page “Breast Implant Illness and Healing by Nicole”. If this information was available to me before I got mine, I wouldn’t of got them done. As a consequence it took 3 surgeries including the removal to get my breasts back to somewhat normal. They are still not right and never will be. The problems associated with BII are just some of the problems you can get, there’s also nerve damage (which I got but 6y after getting them), capsular contraction, reduced nipple sensation and much more.

I have implants.  Mine do not look fake and are really squishy lol. So no they aren’t ugly and they can look natural if you get the right size and surgeon. Some people get implants way too big for their body and it looks ridiculous. I got mine under the muscle so it looks more natural. I will say that it’s been 10+ years and I can’t wait to have them removed. I’ve had two kids and even with implants, my boobs are still saggy. I also didn’t really learn about the harmful effects until years later and I don’t want them anymore. But I’m scared of surgery again, especially since I have two kids.

You could try fenugreek as well with trying to gain weight. There are ways to use fat in your breasts from other areas of your body and not have to get implants. It looks more natural and less recovery time.

I guess weight would always fluctuate so breast size that way wouldn’t be guaranteed. If you can afford surgery, I guess I’d consider that. Otherwise I’d be buying some really nice bras.

Pre pregnancy I was also 5ft7 and 122lbs so I’m with you, I’m a fellow part of the itty bitty titty committee 😂😂honestly I HATED it when I was younger but as I’ve got older I love it and love how I don’t have to wear a braid I don’t want to, it’s so convenient. If it’s genuinely going to impact your confidence long term then go for it, but hopefully you’re husband should make you feel loved and special regardless of your boob size, you were built perfectly the way you are
