It’s been a while since I done any sketching. For the most part I stick more towards my acrylic pour art products than I do sketching, but I’ve missed it. So I tried to do a barn owl today and a very small sketch book, 5.8” x 8.3” so the owl is only about 4 inches. It’s the smallest animal I’ve ever fully sketched. When I do sketch and draw I am more of a realism artist so I like my sketches to have plenty of detail and look realistic. It didn’t turn out perfect but I’m pretty happy with it. I’m going to use this new sketch book to practice specifically realistic animals in so I can get back into sketching realistically.

This is my sketch ✍️ . I think I did really well but as an artist you can always pick out your own mistakes. There will always be room for improvement.

And this is what I was going off of
