Did you care provider measure BPM at your first trimester ultrasound

So I went to the OB yesterday for my first checkup ever - with a new OB as I just moved. She did the normal first trimester things and a Pap smear as I was due. She saw the heart beating but did not look at the BPM of little bean.. I just want to know how normal this is .. I am already lowkey looking at a new care provider (midwife ) but just want your thoughts and experiences

No I'm in the UK and they check there's a heartbeat on scan at the 12 week dating scan and if you're lucky you can hear the heartbeat at your 16 week appointment but if you're less than 16 weeks they won't even listen in. 
It doesn't hold any value in the first trimester, seeing a heartbeat is good but they can't do anything with the information about bpm so if others are getting it it's just because it's nice not because it means anything
