Baby Moon before June?

Question

Anyone taking a BabyMoon and flying 5+ hours? When are you planning on going? My mom thinks I won’t be able to fly because I’ll be about 31/32 weeks when we take our trip.

Edit to add: so far I have the all clear from my doctor. I’m asking about the experience with flying that late in pregnancy in general.

Going to the Maldives for our babymoon at 25weeks. Doctor is not concerned as baby is healthy and I haven’t had any issues. 
Biggest thing Dr said is to have compression socks and to get up and walk around any time I am awake to help prevent blood clots.

I’m not flying but we are driving 8 hours to the beach in the middle of may I’ll be 34 weeks. Last family vacation with just two kiddos

I flew 12+ hours in my third trimester with my second baby. Since it was before 30 weeks, my OB didn't care, just like others have said, stay hydrated, compression socks etc. 
At 31/32 weeks I'd also make sure I had travel insurance, check with your insurance company about coverage, and print your pre natal records just in case. Know where the nearest hospital with at least a level 3 NICU is at your destination. 
I work at a tourist destination as a labor nurse and I can't tell you how many out of towners come to my unit in pre term labor or with PPROM. 
Not saying that's definitely going to happen, odds are you'll be totally fine, but it's best to be as prepared as possible.

Ditto! Im taking an 8 hour flight at 31/32 weeks for our babymoon! Doctor said it was fine too, but like mentioned before, try to get up and move as often as you can (shouldnt be hard with our timy bladders!) And wear compression stockings. I also purchased portable sequentials (leg squeezers like they use in the hospital) to help keep my blood moving when I am sitting down. We may have some longer train rides too so they'll be handy for that as well!

We booked a holiday just before we found out I was pregnancy… Thailand for 2 weeks from mid April 🫤. Based in the U.K and Il be 30 weeks when we leave. 
Drs have said they don’t see any reasons against it atm but to keep up to date with checks, get insurance and il need a fit to fly letter. 
Wouldn’t have flown that far that late if we had known but hoping all is good and we can go

We are going on vacation for two weeks. I'll be 25 weeks when we leave. We're not flying though. It's a 20 hour drive and my OB said to make sure I'm moving my legs frequently throughout the drive to help prevent blood clots. Can you call your OB and ask? Or ask at your next appointment?

Haha last time I was cleared by my doctor to go 10 hours away at 35 weeks, my water broke and I went into labor! My “baby moon” radius is now much smaller- to say the least! But loads of people do it and don’t have issues, so my advice is have a backup medical plan (in network hospital for delivery) and/or a  way home you are in control of and not reliant on an airline or their schedule (ie your own car or access to one in the event you need one). I can’t imagine flying home with a 3 day/week old would be very safe/fun.
