Will you give your baby #2 a pacifier?

I’ve been considering not giving one. But at the same time I’ve heard it could prevent sids. With my first baby I had problems with my supply, my period came after a couple months. I just wonder if I would have more luck without a pacifier. What are your thoughts?

I didn't use a pacifier and had a really good supply. Bf in itself reduces the risk of Sid's so that should be some reassurance for you. It just means putting the baby to the breast more frequently

I plan on having a pacifier on hand but only using it as quick soothing while I tend to my toddler. I didn't have any issues with my first and introduced it around at least a week old. He never got attached to it, but we weren't shoving it in his face either. Maybe I just got lucky.

My first didn’t take a pacifier (he just didn’t like them) & my second did.. I breastfed both babies. I did get my period back fairly quick with my second, but idk if the pacifier had anything to do with that (I know it can) I still fed him every 2 hrs & he cluster fed a lot as well. It didn’t effect my supply tho, I was able to breastfeed him for almost 6 months.. I only stopped because I got pregnant again & my supply dropped due to that.
