I found out I had rh- blood after I had an abortion 2 years ago I’m 15 weeks now. Does my fiancé have to get tested to see if he has rh- blood?

I’m rh- and they have given me a shot during pregnancy and after birth with every one of my pregnancies. The explanation they gave me because I did ask when I had my second because his sperm donor was also rh- was that in the off chance baby is rh+ they make sure moms with rh- get the rhogam to ensure our bodies don’t view the baby as an infection and start over producing white blood cells to fight off the pregnancy.

Its only an issue if your partner is rh+. And all it means is you will get a rhogam shot around 28weeks and when baby is born they will have blood test to determine if rh- or rh+. If positive youll receive another rhogam shot after birth so you dont develop antibodies to figh off the next pregnancy.
