Without murdering one another in the comments - what do you think is the most useful degree and what is the most useless degree?

This topic came up in one of my critical thinking classes and now I'm curious to see what others viewpoints on this are

I have two master's degrees and two bachelors. I teach high school and I’m a professor at a university online. I’m getting ready to earn my Ph.D. and hopefully another one after that. I have a degree in history and English, with several minors and backgrounds. Some people find that useless. 
It’s a very subjective stance. What I believe is useless will be useful in some places. It depends on the availability of the career. You can get degrees to have them while doing something else. I have older students who have been professional students for years. They thirst for knowledge while having their own business.
There are so many variables that play into degrees and job access. A degree doesn’t automatically guarantee a job in the field a person chose.

Useful degrees are the ones you need for the career: doctor, lawyer, surgeon, etc.
Useless ones are the ones you can learn on your own: business degree, the arts. Unless you genuinely like going to school then it’s useless. Like imagine going to uni for a degree in dance or acting

First you have to define useful/useless to a point where it's an objective opinion.
Do you think useful is earning a lot of money? Are you comparing acquired practical skills vs simple theoretical knowledge? What is the job market for whatever you are studying? 
If by useful you mean, able to get you a job quickly, then you can't make a generalized statement. Are you adking globally, or just about the US?

My dad told my brothers and I to see where the jobs were and to choose a degree from there. Instead of how they tell you in school to like follow your dream or whatever. I know soo many people that wanted to work with animals so they went to school to be a vet… none of them are vets. They work retail or serving/bartending because there’s too many vets 😕.

As much as I hate my degree, I got a bachelor's in nursing and I can get any nursing job so long as I have a pulse. I honestly get pretty cocky at my jobs and don't take any attitude from management because what will they do, fire me?
That being said, nursing sucks to actually work in, but if I need money I can always do it. 
Worst to major in is probably just any really general thing or like associate in art, dance, history, anything that is very niche. It could pay a lot sure, but the chances of that are 1 in a million unfortunately

The most useful.. anything to do with the medical field or working with the dead. People are always born and have medical issues. And always die. It will always be that way. Useless... things you can only use to teach that exact same thing in a college or something of that nature.

My degrees I view as absolutely worthless. I have an associate’s in Medical Assisting but can’t find a job because I have no experience and a Bachelor’s in Applied Science but can’t use that either because, again, no place will hire with no experience. Right now, I’m a monitor technician in a local hospital, work 5 12’s every two weeks, and make more than a medical assistant.
