When do babies put weigh on legs

. If I  hold my 4 months  in a standing position and put his feet on the floor  he'll sag at the knees. Is that normal? He used to stand when he was born?

So newborns have a stepping reflex. It goes away around 2 months old and then comes back later around 12 months old. A 4 month old baby that likely can't even sit unassisted definitely will not be standing. Your baby is fine.

6 to 7 month most  infants will start to put their feet down, stiffen their legs and take some weight when held vertically with their feet on a firm surface. So you’re baby still too young.
