Advice for stopping breast feeding cold turkey

I’ve been breastfeeding for nearly 13 months and would like to stop. I’ve tried weaning my son off for the last couple of months since he started eating 3 full meals a day to no avail. The kid is just so stubborn and I’m weak willed (like my sleep too much) He’s currently having 3 small feeds in the day as well as food but still waking up nearly every hour in the night to snack.

My step mam went away for the weekend to stop my brother feeding and I’m thinking of doing the same. Just looking for advice and other people’s experience!
