Should I just let her do whatever? (MIL)
So we just moved out of my mother in laws house this week. We were renovating our house and we are done.
Let me just say, I’m so glad to be back home.
I got so tired of her not respecting my boundaries and doing whatever she wants with my kids, mainly 1 year old daughter.
She would always message my husband, “you need to be the one cooking for the kids, don’t let her leave him in that room, he will rot. (my bedroom there) you need to sleep with them, they are young”
Every single time I went out to the living room, she’d expect to get my baby. One day, I put her on the floor to play and she brought her to her room, shut the door and gave her medicine she didn’t need.
She is much more than a baby hog. She literally tries to act like the mom. She takes my baby, changes her diaper and then put her in completely different clothes and I never see her nice clothes again. I literally spend a lot of money on my daughters clothes. She’s my only daughter.
Today, she called my husband. “Have her ready, I am picking her up”
Didn’t ask or anything. I told my husband I am going to my moms and taking the kids with me. He got mad!
He doesn’t see that I need a break from her. Not only that but she doesn’t respect boundaries. If she were to take her, I don’t have any way of getting a hold of her and she brings them back when SHE wants. At any hour of the night that SHE sees fit! It’s frustrating. I am not enabling this behavior. I wish my husband will stand up to her already. Enough is enough.
He doesn’t see the problem….
I can’t talk to her, she doesn’t talk to me— because of a language barrier but I can tell she doesn’t like me. You know when someone doesn’t like you by how they act. I feel like I’m walking on egg shells
