What is common ovulation day!?!?!

Im really confused.... I've been searching through a few fertility trackers and they all day different days for predicted ovulation.... Help someone?

I recently bought 50 hpt's and 100 OPK's from eBay for $25 Australian $$, so it might be a cheaper way for you to use OPK's and allow you to use them longer.

Ok so DH is away for work *sigh* and I got AF on Christmas Day (what a present?) and I have unusually normal periods.... 28 day cycle with 2 half  days spotting and 4 days of AF.... DH and I BD'd on New Year's Eve and New Years morning before he left and that's the last I'll see of him until the 2nd Feb.... How are my chances ladies? They're apparently looking slim :-(  just so frustrating! Seems we can never line up

I've learned that counting back from your next AF usually works best. If you count back 12 days from when your next AF will start, and then another 4 days ... Thats usually the time when you are most likely to ovulate over those 4 - 5 days.

My cycles are very irregular, vary from 25 days some months to 34 days at times ... But when looking back at my calendars this is basically how it works for me :)

However, each woman's body works in a different way so this might not be the same for you :)

Im also struggling to find a pattern in order to predict O day. Have been using OPK but it gets expensive not knowing if I'm on a 25 day or 34 day cycle - i end up testing for weeks to try and get a positive OPK. Have now started to track BBT so will see if that works.

I ovulate on day 20 and my period comes 11 days later. So the 14 day thing isn't accurate for everyone. Not everyone has a real "two week wait". For me I have an 11 day wait lol.  And no matter when you ovulate, the number of days after ovulation will usually always be the same.  If I ovulate on day 13, I still only have 11 days before my period. So I just have a short cycle that month. Hope that makes sense.

The 14th day is a myth it depends on your body. Everyone is different you'll need to use OPKs to figure out yours along with charting for a while. My average cycle is 29 days and I typically ovulate on the 18th day... Hope that helps

Even with a perfectly regular 28 day cycle my O day varies from month to month. It usually happens between days 13-16. So I wouldn't assume its always on the same exact cycle day each month.

BD'ing every second day will give you the best chance of catching the egg if you don't know day you O. But it can also help if you've got some idea or are using OPK's.

Try tracking symptoms like any cramps or twinges mid cycle, as this could be O pain. Also tracking CM can help too - when it's stretchy like egg whites it's go time! I use these methods and the apps (glow and period tracker) as a guide only. Good Luck xx

You are doing the right thing : basal body temperature and kit. I suggest to get busy during your most fertile week. Every other day then everyday after a positive result so you get it all covered. Good luck!!

It's funny I've used different apps too and they all vary a little in their predictions. Temping and opks makes them all a bit closer and much more accurate.

Usually cycle day 14 if your cycle is 28 days. Count 14 days from the first day if your period (cycle day 1). Ovulation kit helps confirm peak days as well. Good luck!!
