Ovulation testing daily?!?

Question

I took an ovulation test yesterday (Sunday) and I did have two lines but one was very faint. My highest chance of getting pregnant is Thusday. So I guess my question is: Do I need to take a test daily? I'm obviously fertile right now from the faint second line even though I'm not at the  "peak day." ( and yes I plan on being with my husband every night this week. )

Sherri- make sure to read the directions on your ovulation test very carefully. You may not be reading yours right-- on the ones I use, the test line has to be as dark as or darker than the control line. A faint line is actually a negative result. You should take the test either once or twice daily til you get a positive result, starting from about 4 days before your expected ovulation day. Once you get a positive, you should ovulate between 12 and 36 hours from the test. It's best to take the test at least four hours after you wake up, many people say between late morning and early afternoon is best.

Women ovulate at different times! You may ovulate on the 14th but I ovulate 5 days after my period usually.

Sherri, I think you may need to email admin about that as I've seen a few ladies on here with weird cycles on glow like that (that were showing way too early) and admin advised they email support so they can fix the account. Good luck.

Yes ma'am! They range between 97 and 98*. I guess where my confusion is that "most" fertility guides say that you are most likely to conceive 14 days after your cycle. And I just ended my cycle Saturday the 4th. And glow said my most fertile day is Thursday the 9th. With a 31% chance of pregnancy.  But if I go by the 14 day rule my most-fertile day would be around the 18th. But glow said I only have a 2% chance of pregnancy on that day! I'm so confused!!

The tests aren't 100%. They can miss your serge, so there is some hope, but just less likely. Are you taking temperatures too?

Thanks for the input ladies! But I have one more question if you don't mind. I took another test today (Monday) and again I only had one line, low surge. Sooooo does this still mean that I could conceive? I mean I may not be at my most fertile day but there is still hope?

I always have a faint line on my OPK's but it matters if the line is as dark as the test line or darker. My line usually stays the same until the surge then bam! It's as dark as the test line. For my I tested positive 5 days soon than glow said I would so luckily DH and I BD a lot that week

Apparently you have this hormone in your system all the time, which is why it isn't positive unless the line is at least as dark as the test line. It is the surge which makes it positive, not the fact it is there. Apparently when your going through the menopause your levels can show as positive the whole time. 
So yes, keep testing.
