Opk question?

Lisa • Married for 4 yrs. I am 34 and bob is 33. expecting our first dec 2016
So when is the best time to take a opk. I've been taking them in the morning and continue to get a postive.. I then read somewhere that you should use your first morning urine since it's concentrated. I'm just confused and would like some advice.. Thanks

The best time, according to a lot of googling is 2.30-3pm. But anytime between 10am-8pm is fine.

Well this morning I woke up took a test and it was positive then laid back down and took one an hr and half later and it was negative. I have temped before and always had a rise and went to the doctor and he tested my blood and said I ovulated. But I'm just confused because I don't know how to tell exactly when I ovulate based in opk.. I just getting discouraged I think.. It's 8 months ttc and I know it's our timing just trying to get it right:(

Everything I've read says not to use FMU. I test early in the afternoon. Whatever you do it should be around the same time everyday. How long have you been getting positives? Reason I ask is because some people always test positive because they continually have LH in their bodies. It can indicate a problem.
