Conceiving during a cold/illness?

Question

Down with a cold during ovulation window but manage to bd everyday. Putting off medicine so it won't affect our chances. Did anyone manage to conceive during a cold?

We had our first son when I was on BCP and antibiotics for a lung infection that lasted 3 weeks and wouldn't go away. It was just a fluke we guessed and didn't know I was pregnant. Kept taking my pills and drank cuz it was Christmas and New Years and then started throwing up middle of January.
