Why is it so hard to get pregnant for 2nd child? First one was piece of cake

My husband and I been trying for 10 months now for second child but so hard to get pregnant.

Same here. Got pregnant the first try at 32 yrs old with daughter. Been off pill since December and now 36. Had a chemical pregnancy in April. No such luck. But we have both been extraordinarily stressed with me trying to find a new job and now him too. ( luckily I still have a job but would like a better one....but still getting paycheck in the meantime)  I attribute it to stress and we are both taking steps to alleviate it but I am worried my time is coming to an end. Our daughter is almost 3 and hubby doesn't want another kid to be too much farther apart, so he is starting to lean towards not having another which makes me sad.

When hubby and I decided we were going to try for #2 I came off the bc pill and it still took us till month 6 to finally get a BFP! It is so much more stressful due to the fact ur thinking about actually falling pregnant and ur not actually enjoying urself. I know at 1 stage to both hubby and I it felt like a chore that we had to do. We were both getting really frustrated that it wasn't happening as easily as it did 1st time round, so I booked us a wkend away during my "fertile" time (without telling hubby it was GO time), and we had a great time, with just us. I feel ttc #3 is sooo much more harder as we r both more tired, have to deal with kids waking during the night (and possibly scaring them for life lol). But we have date night, which involves the kids having dinner earlier and then once there asleep we cook something just for us, watch a movie and have cuddle time.....which turns in to sexy time. Don't give up, the end result is the best gift ever xxxx

I'm in the same boat.  We've been trying for almost a year for #2 with no success.  I just keep thinking it will happen when it's supposed to.  And hoping that the day comes tomorrow!  :)

I completely agree. We got pregnant our first try with our daughter. But this time around we're going on 5 months ttc, today is cd1 :(

I feel so nervous when my family are always asking for a baby,especially my in-laws. They make it seem like I can get pregnant in just one day but it doesn't work that way :(
