Is bbt charting necessary if I know when I ovulate?

I feel my ovulation from my ovaries every month. I confirm this with opk, never fails when I feel it. Would it still be necessary to chart?

Answer

Some people like it because if your temp stays high, it can be a good indication that you are pregnant. I don't do it because it seems like a bit of a hassle :)
