Progesterone suppositories?

Does anyone have experience with progesterone suppositories? Doctor is asking me to start this day and night after IUI this month. What has been the pro's and con's?

Hi ladies, I started the progesterone capsules in my you know what a few days ago. I'm taking it twice a day 200 mg each time. I'm having weird symptoms like having to go to the bathroom a lot more and my heart feels like it's beating faster. I'm getting up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. I stopped running due to doctor's advice on TWW. Are you guys experiencing the same?

When I was younger and couldn't understand why I wasn't getting pregnant, I found out I had pcos. Doctor started me on these. They are horrrrrribly messy. That aside, I did them for about six months. I switched to pill form. The pill form was the work of the devil. My husband told me if I didn't stop, he would divorce me. Lol! My hormones when's craaaaazzzzzzzy. So If you can handle the mess, the suppositories are the way to go.

I am starting them this cycle! My 7dpo level was 4.9, OB put me on 100mg daily. Hoping it's enough. What were your levels?

Pros - it can help.

​Cons - it is terribly messy and gooey and oozes out of you.

​Still worth it  - and better than the progestrone shot I had to do. :-)

I am currently taking this during my first TWW! It's not as bad as I anticipated but it is definitely messy (wear a panty liner). Side effects can differ from each person so just be aware it can cause nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and other things. Also take it at the same time, every 12hrs. (7a/7p) Good luck! :))
