Thinking about using clomid?

I have a crazy period/ovulation and am TTC #2 ( 7months)  I'm thinking about asking my doc if I can try using clomid. Has anyone had success stories using it? And or has anyone had bad experiences?

Crazy cycles and blood test shows I'm not ovulating. I'm on Provera right now to start my period (on CD 46) and when I finally get it, I will be trying Clomid for the first time. I'm excited that it may help but nervous that it wont. My best friend has PCOS and got pregnant her first month on Clomid but I know not everyone's the same and I'm trying not to get my hopes up.

I used Clomid for two month but didn't ouvlate. My dr just put me in Letrozole and I ovulated this month. I don't think I'm pregnant but at least I'm ovualting. 
​My dr said my body just didn't react to Clomid the way she wanted.  Good luck!

I am on the fifth cycle but I'm also starting IUI on this cycle. I don't have any and side effects except it makes me hungry! So I'm eating healthier :)

As a former fertility patient I have done the rounds of clomid before. The side affects can be awful and there are always risks. I would recommend talking with your doctor and seeing if it's right for you. I don't agree that 3 rounds is a lucky number. You only have to go to fertility websites to see that it's not BUT it can help and is successful for some. It took us several additional rounds of IUI and clomid combined but we have our little miracle.

I'm getting ready to start my 3rd round of Clomid. The side effects can range for people. Mine include hot flashes and the crazies every once in a while. Also, it can trick you in the TWW because it can cause PMS like cramping and basically intensify PMS symptoms a little earlier than normal. So far, 2 rounds haven't worked, praying the 3rd does :)

The ob/gyn I work for is a big fan of it and she is a fantastic doctor so I trust her. There are a few patients there now who have had success stories with clomid in the year I've been there, so I know it works. I am going to do my bbt and ov kits faithfully for the next couple months an then I'm going to talk to her about using clomid.

I'm using it. It can have a lot of side effects. Most dr's won't put you on it unless absolutely necessary.
