Did anyone ever give up?

Question

Did anyone ever give up on trying to conceive? I'm at the point that I'm starting to convince myself I will be ok with not being a mommy. It is such a frustrating process, and I feel disappointed month after month. Did anyone ever experience this as well?

I get scared that I won't be able to have anymore children.. But I stay positive and if god only wants me to have just one sweet girl I will be okay with that. But in the mean time I'm still going to try.. Maybe not as hard and see what happens with that. I'm taking a break for a few months just to get into shape and lose about 15 lbs! I've got to focus on my health and getting to the weight I was at before I had my first. Hoping that will help to. But I think with the stressing of taking ovulation tests and making sure I have sex at specific times and days is just too much. I need a break and just let things happen if it happens! Good luck to you! Don't stress too much about it. How long have you been trying?

I have also been TTC for almost 3yrs for # 1. I have wanted to give up countless time already. The latest was in Jan of this year. One night I was super quiet and not talking. Which is not normal for me. Lol DH kept asking me what was wrong and I kept telling him nothing. Well right before we went to bed I finally broke down and told him what was wrong. He comforted me and told me it was going to be ok and that we will have a baby. He did not say have a baby soon or one day. He just simply said we WILL have a baby. After that I felt better. Then in Feb is when I really started charting everything. I told myself that if all this charting doesn't get me PG by June( my 3yr mark) that I was going to quite all together or go see a Doc. Right now I just want to enjoy all of this crazyness of it all.

​It will get better with time or at least know how to handel things better.

I never gave up but I did take a break. Sometimes that helps to relax and remember who you were before all the obsessing on all the tests and trying to interpret your body signals.  Good luck to you.

Ive been trying for almost 3 years. I have two beautiful daughters that ill probably never see again because i trusted my mom and she put a restraining order on me and me and hubby havent seen our girls in 3 years and we been going back and forth to court for 4 years. Im not giving up on them. I have my three year old son from when me and hubby broke up for 5 years and he has a son who is 6. We have been ttc for 2 1/2 years. I never got a positve pregnancy test. I cry. Im angry. I cant sleep. Ive become obsessed with charting etc. i want to give up but i dont. I dont know why either. I pray to god he will give us our miracle baby and then our girls. We all struggle in life but to get pregnant should be easy. I ve done research that infertility is caused by what we eat an drink. Good luck.

Don't give up! You have to believe! I've been to that point before and then I visited my friend in the hospital today who had a baby this morning and it reminded me of all the reasons why it's worth it in the end! No point of being a parent is easy. It takes so much effort to create them, to bring them into the world and then to raise them for the next 18+ years.

I haven't yet, but it's definitley hard. My friend told me the minute she stopped trying.. Bam! She got pregnant! But it's soo hard to not think about! Especially when you have to track everything.

I've definitely wanted to! I'm on my 10th month TTC #1. All the disappointments have taken a toll on me but I'll never give up. I want a baby more than anything in this world!! Hang in there.
