Opposites attract?

You know how people say opposites attract? I was trying to think if me and my boyfriend are opposites and I guess we kinda are. Does anyone else think their SO is their opposite?

Im the loving caring out going forgiving loves to read everything type of girl. Im bery girly but i hve a bad temper. The only thing me and hubby have in common is we love cars and we r both quick tempered. He is lazy where i have ocd and have to have everything neat. He likes to party and drink. Im more laid back. We have known each other since we were kids and he was my first. I couldnt see myself without him. Hes a pain in my a** but i love him. We sre deff opposite tho

I'm the artistic, love everything, optimistic, positive one that looks at most things in the most positive way possible. I'm kinda a girly person.

​My boyfriend is very mechanically inclined, not as positive or err "bright side" of a thinker.  Tends to dwell on the bad things. Deffinatly a redneck.

​But we love eachother, we have a few things in common. Specially our ADHD haha but not to much to the point where were the same and we don't have that expectation for eachother.

Me on the other hand I am a little shy haha. I don't really talk about my feelings. I'm not about that club life or getting drunk. I rather stay home and watch television in my nice warm blanket. But I like it because I tie him down haha. I can honestly say he changed for me. We balance each other out. I love him. I do:)

I do think it's true my boyfriend for 5years is a rockabilly guy stuck in the 50s I'm pretty girl type. We always disagree on most of the things lol I always tell him we are meant for each other if we agreed on everything we would have nothing to talk or argue about (: we are also very alike when it comes to loving animals except he hates cats and I love cats haha

Opposites definitely attract. My ex and I are 9 years apart and complete opposites with a few similarities, but their opposites that balance each other out. I guess that's why we have a 8 year friendship

I'm a obnoxious crazy loud bogan who swears drinks coffee wine and smokes ciggies like it's the last day on earth. I'm unorganized and never think before I say anything and was raised by a single mum with three kids living off toast because we were so poor.

​My boyfriend is polite well spoken and highly organized. Runs a successful business goes to the gym every day eats healthy and never drinks. He grew up in a mansion with a picture perfect family. Oh and they are perfect it's almost sickening haha.

Now after reading everyone's thoughts on this, it seems like these differences definitely are not dealbreakers. What would you say is the most important for a relationship to work and last? Is it the same for every relationship?

I think there are some truth to that statement. Socially I am way more out there than my DH. He's quite, reserve and sticks to what he knows however on the other hand, I love talking to strangers when we are out, going on spontaneous adventures, and being in the center of attention. We are different in that sense but at the end of the day, we share the same values and goals. How we see each other raising our children and plans about our future and where we see yourselves.

​Im glad we are so different, keeps us entertained...well more like I entertain him lol

Me and my boyfriend are definitely opposites my boyfriend is not shy. He speaks his mind on things he doesn't like or would like to clear out. He doesn't any more but he basicly is a bad boy. He would got be with his "home boys", sleep with a whole rack of girls, just do bad things basicly.
