Delayed temperature spike?

Has anyone experienced this? I was reading in TCOYF and it says that some women have a late temperature spike because their bodies don't react to the pregesterone (produced at ovulation) right away. I'm hoping this is my case since I have PCOS and this is the first time I've ovulated in ages :)​

Yes, it's possible. I have pcos too and several LH surges without the accompanying ovulation. Frankly, it sucks!

My GYN told me that the LH surge was a pretty good indicator that I ovulated, and that the temperature wasn't very reliable. When I had my first child, though, I did have a normal looking temperature chart, and knew I was pregnant from that, even before I took a hpt.

I should clarify, when I say it's the first time I've ovulated in ages, I mean it's the first positive opk I've seen since I started using them. Is it possible that I had an LH surge, but not ovulated?
