Weight & Fertility?

I am overweight (BMI of 30), and ovulate somewhat irregularly (anywhere from CD 10 to 17). Could my weight be causing this?  Have any of you had more regular ovulation after losing weight?

Absolutely. Being overweight can 100% effect timing/irregularity is ovulation. But studies have shown losing even 5% of your body weight can greatly regulate you.

That's what confuses me. My periods are pretty regular (27-28 day cycle), but my ovulation days are all wacky.

From what I understand yes. Having too low or high BMI can cause you not to not have periods or ovulate. My trainer was trying for a while but her BMI was so low it was really hard for her to get pregnant.
