When AF is comforting...

I recently had my implant taken out.  That was scary and exciting all at once!  I have been on some sort of bc for over 13 years.  I have been reading horror stories about not seeing AF for 6mo to a year after stopping bc.  If you would be willing to share your story, I would love to hear!  What were you on?  How long? Has your cycle regulated?  I think for me, AF on a regular(ish) basis would put my mind at ease... Sort of :)
