Are light-no spotting periods normal?

This has never happened to me before. I've been sexually active but I don't think I'm pregnant . Could this be a normal thing that happens sometimes

I was spotting on Saturday. It was brown (period was due Monday) took a test Saturday and I'm most definitely pregnant !

Yes, as you get older you will notice every once In awhile you get periods that are vary different from your normal and abnormal periods. 
​Could be what you are eating, stress, hormons, birth control, ect.
