Trying to get pregnant at 21?

Question

Were fixing to be married but we already live together and are ready to start a family. Do y'all think 21 is too young? (I'd be 22 if we got pregnant when it was born).

Not if your financially, emotionally & physically ready. I got pregnant on BC & antibiotics at 19, my son was born a month after I turned 20, I'm going to be 25 this summer and were TTC #2 now, not even trying yet cuz I just went off my pill and so I have my period.

As long as you are happy, I was married at 19 TTC baby #1 at 21 fell pregz quickly had my son when I was 21 nearly 22 and TTC baby #2 now at 23 but I always wanted a family "young" and my husband is 4 years older than me and he was at the age were he felt ready to settle down.  Our families were not supportive people thought I was crazy and he was even crazier with our slite age gap and background difference but we are extremely happy and that's all that matters! Plus having a baby "young" was pretty normal back in the day like 50 or 60 years ago it justthat society has changed as woman became more independent and wanted jobs and careers etc first before children but I personally think everyone is different and should choose whatever makes them happy :D

I don't think age alone is enough to determine whether or not a couple is ready for a baby. A strong solid foundation is necessary in my opinion. (Respect,Communication, common aspirations, ect.) I always felt it was important for my husband and I to enjoy each other. We traveled a lot like we wanted and experienced things just us two. Because once kids come it's different, amazing of course! But different. So Good luck!!

I had my first at 21. Now I am 28 and have baby fever because everyone my age is having there first baby

I had my daughter at 23 and she is turnig 3 now. Whenever you turn to do something you will always hear your to young. I  was a few short months away of completing my degree. I was already a school counsellor and doing well for myself but ur always going to have ppl say ur to young and if you listen to them you will never try anything. Think about, Maths it all out and if you guys can make it work then go for it.

It would all depend on your situation. I'm 21 and would love a baby with my partner but we are willing to wait a year or so until we are financially stable. Assess your situation before plunging into the deep end! All the best :) x
