Parental Consent

I'm 19 years old & I lost my virginity at 16 years old with my ex boyfriend. Now I have a boyfriend that I've been for 3 years (I've been having sex with him since we started dating), he's only 1 year younger than me. My mom approves of him & all but she does not believe in sex before marriage. She doesn't know I am sexually active but I really want to get on birth control pills. I wish I could be open to her about this so I can have someone's support. What is the best way to approach to her, if I should even approach?
