Safe to try again straight away after m/c?

Question

Hi guys I'm getting mixed advice here and need some help.
​I m/c just before I was 6weeks pregnant....no intervention required.
​My husband works away 3weeks on 3weeks off and often isn't home when I'm ovulating cause my periods are a little random.
​I m/c on Anzac Day and still very lightly bleeding....he comes home on the 14th of May and I'm keen to start trying straight away but I've heard that really I should wait for at least one period.
​Emotionally I'm strong and I know I'm ready.....but other than emotional stability is there anything else I need to worry about or can we just get stuck in (hehe)

Thanks so much for your advice ladies. When I went to the hospital to confirm m/c they said my levels had drastically dropped so I'm guessing I wouldn't have been far off zero but my gp didn't do further bloods.
​I think when my hubby gets home I'll just go for it...there's nothing to loose.

First of all, sorry about your MC. My Dr said to wait one cycle. We started trying after I stopped bleeding from MC but AF arrived so still trying!

Our dr say we could start straight away... Just had to wait for all bleeding to stop... For me was 1.5weeks... 
​5weeks after mc if have just had af so didn't happen this month but we will keep ttc

I also had a MC April 1st and as soon as the bleeding stopped I started trying straight away. I was advised to wait one cycle but I asked my friend who works at a doctors to ask why for me, the doctor told her as long as I was emotionally ready then there is no need to wait, it just makes dating the next pregnancy easier. I had a natural miscarriage on April 5th after finding out I had a blighted ovum and was only measuring 7 weeks instead of 11 at the last ultrasound. My doctor said he wanted me to wait until my next period but I figure it's just so it's easier to tell how far along you are. From what I've read especially from overseas there isn't much background on why you can't start trying right away when you feel ready. I'm usingb opks to help and believe I'm O now or very soon even though I haven't had my period yet (just two random days of spotting). I'm using my MC date as my cycle starting date so I have a starting point. Sorry for rambling but I think it's okay to start trying right away. Good luck to you :)

I am sorry for your loss. I lost mine at 6.5 weeks. Is your doctor monitoring your blood HCG? It should be going down, but you won't ovulate until it's zero. The time it takes varies person to person. It took me about 2.5 weeks. My doctor told me there was no reason to wait unless I wasn't ready emotionally. From my understanding some doctors say wait until you've had one period, and this is for dating purposes and to allow your body to get back to normal. We tried again right away with no luck month one. I would use some mix of what feels right to you and what your doctor advises. Best of luck!
