So confused, help and opinions please!?

I had suspected appendicitis on Monday and was rushed to hospital I was given morphine and an xray and on three drips through the day and night. Today AF came strong - a week early! A friend said this could be a miscarry although I'd of only been 4/5 days past fertilisation. Did the medication cause a miscarriage? Or trigger an early period- but how?
