Affording IVF?

We were just told after two babies to heaven and 2 years of trying that IVF is our only option. Husband has low sperm count (unexplained don't know what happen) and I just told out my ovary reserve is on the low side for 26. Basically time is not on our sides, neither is the money tree. Anybody have suggestions for funding IVF? I read about IVF grants and loans etc. I'm having a hard time and my husband is as distance as ever. I am truly considered our marriage might not make it through this. :( thank you!

Maybe some counselling for him, both of you. I know my clinic offer that but it's the NHS so I don't know if you'd have to pay for that too. DH and I have been using YNAB ( you need a budget) app. It has turned our finances around in a few months. Makes you account for every penny of your income and you can set up savings goals. We've budgeted for paying for the embryoscope monitoring as an add on to our 1 and only funded ivf cycle. After which we have to pay £4000 a go. It's a real roller coaster and tough on your relationship. We've been up and down through our journey. You're not alone. Good luck xx

Check your insurance. I was shocked to find out we only have to pay $150 copay.

US and insurance doesn't cover anything with IVF or IUI. However since I posted this my husband sperm count is up by 6 million (first increase in a year and a half! I swear it's the new pills I got him) so we can try two IUIs! We are doing June and July cycle hope one of them works so we don't need IVF so stressful

Where do you live? In the UK the NHS will fund up to 3 rounds depending where you live. However, we only got one fresh and one frozen round and now have to start paying. X

He might be feeling low due to low sperm count. Men seen to really struggle to Dean with news like that and hide instead of talking. Give him time and make sure he knows you love him regardless of his SA! My bf asked of if leave him if it turned out that it was his SA that was causing infertility because I was so down about my issues causing infertility - I've got endo and low progesterone as the main issues for me. Once I told him I'd pick him over kids and that I'd be sad but get over it if we couldn't have kids he understood that I loved him for him not his potential to get me preg. TBH I hadn't considered how my open expression of feelings was impacting him.
