My fertile window. How long is yours?

My fertile window was only 2 days! Is this normal? My period was 2 weeks long since taking out my IUD. How long is your fertile window?

When I went off the pill, I had a 45+ day cycle. According to my doctor and several things I've read, there are several different responses to BC cessation.

​I had a much longer cycle than normal and though my flow wasn't heavier, it took longer to quit (7 day period), and my cramps and backaches were so bad, I nearly called in sick to a job I'd started only a month pervious, and did pass on ladies bible study that week.

​Some women bleed longer or heavier, others not at all until they actually ovulate.  Some women on the shot or an IUD may not have a period nor ovulate for a year after they stop.

​In your case, it seems your body immediately recognized the hormone drop from the IUD being removed and shed your uterine lining faster and heavier. That may be a good sign for you, I hope it is. Try not to be discouraged if you have an extremely long cycle following. Your body is out of the habit of producing those monthly hormones because they were being provided by your BC.

How long ago did you have your iud removed? It can take several months before your cycle is regular after removing the iud...

Normally 6-7 days- but last cycle I had a weird cycle where it was only 18 days long, and only 2 fertile days. I bet in a month or two your body will adjust to being off birth control and your period will get shorter. Although right now, it probably means you are fertile the last few days of your period
