UK girls- struggles with NHS and bleeding!

Jessica
Hi UK ladies!! I'm currently about 6.5 weeks pregnant with bleeding and I don't feel anyone in the NHS is particularly looking after me :(
I went to my GP when I found out I was pregnant. He referred me to a midwife and told me that they (the GP) don't verify the pregnancy or arrange blood tests etc.
Long story short I had some bleeding at 5 weeks. Went straight up to the early pregnancy unit who at first were great. I had a scan which was normal for 5 weeks. I was told to go home, rest and see if the bleeding stops. There was no offer of blood tests at all.
I started bleeding again yesterday so went back to the unit. They refused to do blood tests or give me another scan. They did a quick internal and said that the type of bleeding I have is unlikely to be anything serious. I begged then to at least do a blood test but they said there was no point if I was having a miscarriage I'd have to just let it run it's course.
The problem I have is that my GP has washed his hands of my pregnancy, my midwife never answers her phone and the early pregnancy unit at the hospital said they don't assign people to specific doctors so I'll have to see someone else if I have to go there again. I have nobody to take responsibility for my pregnancy. Am I just being over sensitive or have others had similar problems and feel the same?
Also, if there is anyone who has experienced bleeding (mines just brown when I wipe) please share as it would make me feel better to know that others are experiencing something similar.
