LH surge?? Very odd!

Hi, I usually ovulate (according to bbt charting) between the 15-16 day in my cycle. This month I decided to use opk's and got a positive LH surge on day 12 the first day tested!! Am I going crazy or is this really early?! I'm so confused. Thoughts welcomed!
