Getting the sex you want?! Is it possible?

Question

Hi, I always hear about myths or treatments ect, on having a boy or girl and how you can? Is it true?:) we have twin girls right now. And when we try again it will be our last, but wanting to try for a boy. Is there ways to get the Gender you want, like having sex on certain days. I know that boy sperm is faster than girl sperm, but doesn't live as long as girl sperm. Did any of you actually try for a certain gender? And actually worked?, if so how? Just wondering:)? Iam happy with either or, boy or girl:). Any advice or stories could help:) thanks a lot!

​If you really want to try for a boy, you might check with a fertility specialist and see if there are hormones available for your partner that would strengthen his y carriers. If you prefer it as natural as possible, you might try and see if you can find a specialist who uses bioidentical hormones.

Unfortunately, there is no guarantee. My sis and BIL wanted a boy but got two girls (not twins) and they tried all the tricks they heard about to get a boy.

​Remember, what doctors "know" changes pretty often. When I was born, they told parents to lay babies on their stomachs so they didn't choke on spitup in their sleep. When SIDS gained the spotlight(I was in junior high) it became, "back or side to sleep".

​In the future, there may be a guaranteed way to naturally choose the sex, but we don't know enough right now for any natural gender selection. There are too many variables. Strength of the sperm in general, strength of x vs y sperm, length if time between sex and ovulation, the penetrability of the egg wall, etc.
