Hump Day Health Hint - Sleep = Weight loss
Being at a healthy weight is important to your conception journey. And sleeping is a crucial component of weight loss. Getting 6 hours or less of sleep a night can increase carb cravings, cause weight problems, low energy levels and increase risk of diabetes and heart disease.
So here are some recommendations that my doctor at NYU weight loss center emailed me today:
+ Take a warm bath before bed
+ Sip on Herbal Tea
+ Go to bed 30 minutes earlier so as to adjust your mind to sleep-mode
+Turn off your electronic devises at least one hour before getting into bed
+Read a book in bed
+Take a deep breath and when exhaling make an “ahhh” sound and do this three times. This really helps relax the body.
