Endometriosis and ovarian endometrioma chocolate cyst
Hi ladies!!
Just wondering any one else has experienced severe pain from an ovarian cyst? I suffer from endometriosis and they have found a 7cm chocolate cyst on my left ovary and two 3cm cysts on my right ovary. I had gone to emergency several times and feel as if the doctors don't take me seriously, it gets so bad that I can barely move or get out of bed! I just laparoscopic surgery to find out that the surgeon said he couldn't see anything inside. I have extensive scarring and adhesions from a previous misdiagnosed appendicitis. This will be my fourth surgery! He is now saying I need to have a laparotomy done to completely open me up and try and remove the scar tissue and my cysts. I'm freaking out
A little though because he said my cyst was solid and has now put a rush on my surgery which is making me think the worst. I am only 24 years old and am feeling like I have all odds stacked against me! Has anyone had a laparotomy for this before and were they able to save your ovary? Also were you able to conceive afterward?? Thanks for any advice and for reading this!!
