Not your typical af

So I just got over what I'm assuming was my period. It was due on the 15 but came the 17. But, it was very light that I used one panty liner all day. Then on the 18 it was heavy enough for one super all day. I know it's very bad to do that but I hardly have time to change my tampon during the day. Anyway, same type of flow Monday and them just a panty liner Tuesday. The weird thing is that it was brown and thick the entire time. Nothing like a typical af that I usually have. Has anyone else experienced this?! I wasn't cramping inch either. Just mild a couple days prior. Again, usually  really crampy. Help!
