How young is too young?

Question

I know this is a very controversial topic... But how young is too young to want to be pregnant?
​I personally think as long as you body is mature enough to have a healthy pregnancy and you are mature, responsible, and financially ready then that's all that matters. But other people seem to put a number to this question. 
​I'm just curious to know you guys opinions! :)

If you have to ask, your not ready. Have a stable home AND relationship with your husband before you try for a baby. It's not about you anymore once that test comes back positive. It's about that baby you made.

Continue.... I agree, just need to keep in the back of ur head are you really stable in ur love life to where you will be okay to making a baby with them? Loving them is one thing, making a baby is so different. You are agreeing to be with them for 18+ years. Good luck! Please remember I went through this, so it's all from experience. <3

I think you need to be married and have jobs that can support you to have time off with your baby plus 500+ day care bill. No one wants to go back to work right away. I never listened to people saying "you should be married, blah blah blah." God I wish I listened. Planned a baby with a guy I was with for 4 months! Thought he was it. HA. Who was I kidding?! Worst pregnancy ever, broke up after 18 months and now just co parenting. I HATE sharing my child but I have to do it for her. I finally understand why people think you should wait till u are married. Now I'm doing it the right way. :D but I also agree with you, if your body can carry a baby, you can support yourself then you will be fine.

Personally, I always said 24-25 was the perfect age for me. I wanted to have my first child at 25 right or wrong but since advancing in my career and taking my first trip overseas and seeing one of my best role models wait until she was 30+ has made me realise that I'm probably going to get to 25 and push it further (I'm 21 now) sometimes I think I want them now but I snap out of that pretty quickly when I realise there's so much I will have to put aside in my life. Call me selfish, but these are the years that count, the years you look back on when you're older and wish you could go back to. I fell pregnant when I was 17 and opted for an abortion because I knew I wasn't mentally ready to take on the responsibly of another persons life. Age doesn't matter, when you're ready, you're ready.

I don't even feel 19, more like 35 . Your whole lives change when you have a child . Even if you are financially stable , have a great job ect .. There is going to be some point in life you're going to struggle as parents . So I'm not saying I'm FOR teen pregnancies , I'm definitely not for anyone TTC under the age if 18. But reality of it is most people arnt ready to become parents until it happens.

Of course I understand that a lot of the times this isn't the case with teen mothers , but I believe maturity comes with expirence . You can't put a number to maturity because there are plenty of 30,40, even 50 year old who still don't have their lives together .

Maybe I take offense to some of these comments because I got pregnant at 17 , of course not trying but it happend . Most people assume because I was so young that I couldn't handle the responsibility that came along with being a mother . I'm 19 now , and have been blessed beyond measure with a wonderful husband .. Im 21 and im a mother to a one year old. I dont feel young, ive always been mature. I live on my own, work full time etc. However I know younger girls who have had babies and they are far from being mature enough to handle the responsiblities that come with being a mother. I guess it depends on the individual but my advice would be to wait until you are ready.
