When is the right time?

I have another period tracking app like this one. It's called Ovia. Both Glow and Ovia are telling to me take a pregnancy test in 4 days, when my period should be coming 2 days after those 4 days. Should I take a test when Glow and Ovia tell me, or should I wait a few days to see if my period is late? Any opinions? I was thinking of testing when my apps tell me too cause my husband and I are eager, but I also don't wanna waste money on a test only for it to come out negative and for me to get my period a couple days after. I don't know. Any opinions please?
