Do they hurt?

Question

I want to get this tattoo on my shoulder blade and on the other one of my sons foot prints with his name. Would it hurt?​

I have 8 and the only one that hurt was my chest. The more fat you have on the area the easier it will be. The more bone the more it will hurt. I've heard the ribs, foot, and chest are the worst.

Mine took almost 2 hours.  There were some moments if real pain, but it was mostly just super uncomfortable.  My husband was there to make me laugh and keep me company.

I think it depends on the person. 
​I have 2. One is on my shoulder and the other on my foot. I didn't think either of them really "hurt" but it was uncomfortable. It felt like a cat scratch to me. The one on my foot took over 2 hours (covers the entire top of my foot and a lot d detail) but it really just kind of tickled more than hurt. 
​The one on my shoulder didn't really hurt at all. I got that one first. 
​And I'm a huge baby when it comes to pain usually but my tattoos didn't hurt for whatever reason.

​I also think it depends on the tattoo artist. Some have a heavier hand and those will hurt more than someone with a lighter hand.

Depends on location. I have a tat right above my labias (southern lips there), it hurt like a motherF...

On My left shoulder I have 3 others but this one honestly hurt the worst!!

The way people say tatoos hurt is not as bad as it is accually getting one I got one for my 18th birthday on my sholder and I was sitting there playing on my phone and talking to him lol I can't wait to get more it's addicting

If you can go through childbirth this is nothing next to it! I think it feels like a needle being drug across the skin really hard. It's really not so bad. The biggest thing is making sure you tell the artist if you feel sick or want to pass out. I've gotten one on my foot and one behind my ear. It felt more strange and sore than anything.
