Taboo Tuesdays - $ for Baby

The costs of childbirth can be steep. In the United States, the charge for an uncomplicated cesarean section was about $15,800 in 2008. An uncomplicated vaginal birth cost about $9,600, government data show. (That was 2008.  It costs even more now.) Even with insurance, most women spend several thousands dollars out of pocket.

Do you feel that there is a certain amount of money a woman (or a couple) should have before they try to have a baby? Some savings? A car? A steady job? A home?

or do you feel that no one is ever completely ready (financially) and that you just make your kids a priority and that it all works out eventually?

IF you have already had kids, were you surprised by how much it cost - everything baby related - or was it pretty much what you expected?
